
About Anthea Amore
Founder of Organic Passion Catering
Anthea Amore is a Byron Bay–based vegan chef, author and founder of Organic Passion Catering, with over three decades of experience in plant-based cooking. A self-taught cook since the age of 14, her career has taken her from professional kitchens across the UK and Europe to becoming a leading voice in Australia’s organic vegan food scene.
In the late 1990s, she worked at Food for Friends in Brighton, before travelling through Europe catering private events in the south of France and working as a resident chef at a yoga retreat in Lanzarote.
Since returning to Byron Bay in 2003, she has built a highly regarded catering business, creating vibrant, nourishing food for retreats, weddings and events, and previously managed the café and kitchen at Santos Organics. Anthea is also a registered Marriage Celebrant.

Anthea is the author of two acclaimed cookbooks, PASSION – organic vegan recipes to live for and HUNGRY – for more crazy good vegan food. While PASSION established her signature style with a focus on raw, nutrient-dense ingredients and conscious eating, HUNGRY builds on this with over 150 gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free recipes designed for everyday life.
Her work has been featured in publications including Good Food, WellBeing, Mindfood, Nature & Health, Organic Gardener and HuffPost, and is grounded in a deep commitment to organic, locally sourced ingredients, sustainability and the belief that food should nourish, inspire and bring people together.
Anthea is also a sought-after speaker and passionate vegan advocate, appearing at major events including World Vegan Day events, food festivals and vegan conventions, where she shares her philosophy on plant-based living, sustainability and food as medicine.
